About
I image from a terrace, not an observatory
I am Sascha Wyss. I photograph the night sky from Biel-Benken, a village near Basel, Switzerland, under Bortle 5 skies that are nobody's idea of ideal. I fight with lots of clouds, streetlights, dew and equipment quirks like all of you.
Everything on this site was shot with equipment an amateur can buy, captured in NINA or ASIAIR and processed in PixInsight.
The promise
The honest verdict on gear and tools, tested on real images, so you never waste your money or a clear night.
I never soften a downside to protect a sponsor or an affiliate. If a product does not convince me, I tell you rather than publish something I do not believe. Every commercial relationship is disclosed plainly, in the video and on this site.
Affiliate links on this site earn me a small commission at no extra cost to you. They have never determined a verdict and they never will.
Working together
If you make something for astrophotographers and you are confident it holds up, I am interested.
